When creating perf-board or prototype H-Bridge or Half bridge based designs, it is often tedious and inconsistent to create the gate drive circuitry and transistor conduction paths. This board solves both problems while still allowing a high degree of design flexibility. This board is easily attached to perf-boards via pins and can be operated across a wide frequency range limited only by the NSD1624 gate drive chip and the gate characteristics of your chosen MOSFETs or IGBTs. The transistor’s power conduction paths are exposed for easy soldering of snubber networks, outputs, filters, decoupling capacitors, and power connections. The board has an optional on-board inverter that can be enabled by also soldering Q3, R2, and R1, enabling it to be driven solely from the “L” input. The board has a 12V linear regulator, making 14V the minimum voltage requirement for operation. This is done for noise reduction. The transistor footprint is TO-247-3 however TO-220 can technically be used as well. This board is available pre-assembled or as a kit to be soldered (Pre-soldered kits come WITHOUT automatic high-side inverting components soldered) Power transistors are NOT included.
